I have always dislike the commercialised music played in mediation, yoga, and massage places. I think it shows a very big misunderstanding of the essence of music and meditation. Music itself is already spiritual and can go in all directions, and conversely there can be all kinds of things going on (not only positive) during the meditation. Meditation is a very personal journey, therefore for me, to put this kind of music limits greatly the very experience of meditation.
Music which mimics perfect harmony gives false sense that one is in the process of being healed or reaching the eternal peace, therefore I call it “porno mediation music,” because it is the same mechanism as porn movies. What is going on in the porn movies is not the real love; a meditation manipulated by “peace music" is not the real harmony.
About two weeks ago, I had a thought: hey, if there is so much porno meditation music which makes so much money, why isn’t there music made for the purpose of love-making yet? Before I put this statement on facebook, I searched on internet and youtube and found out I was deeply wrong. There is really lots of music made for love-making, and it definitely does not turn me on. Try to search for it yourself and have a listen.
But warning: now my browser remembers my search and started to suggest the "real porn music" and these strange advertisements are all over the place. Damn!
