"Ancestral Modernism: Harvest (Høst)" is a production which I have thought for years but the concrete idea finally came to maturity last autumn.

Voila, very soon, 13 LMS (Levende Musik i Skole) school concerts in Denmark and 2 public concert is coming true from September 5-15.

The first time I heard Korean traditional harvest music "Samulnori," I was so incredibly moved by its depth and raw beauty. It transcends polarity: the  rhythm is both complex and simple, strict and flexible. The energy is both elegant and primitive. It is both dark and joyful...

In these years in Denmark, I have also been moved when I learn about Danish Harvest Songs, which is rarely sung outside of the churches. They are so pictorious and poetic. In the Western Christian culture, the joy of harvest is expressed through magic of the words.

Therefore in this production, the audiences and the musicians will unite and celebrate the deep joy of harvest with Danish Harvest Songs and Samulnori.

Take your family and firends with you for this rare oppurtunity to celebrate the universal tradition - harvest.
