Dear musiclovers who have been following me, I know, I know... I haven't been writing here for almost 4 months. I will briefly talk about what has been happening in the past 4 months.
It seems that my musical life is changing and expanding and constantly combining with another genre. In the summer I had the honor to be part of Efterklang/Fundal's new opera " Leaves," which really gave me very deep inspiration in all levels. An opera in a cold war bunker with blue installations! To put my experience short, I enjoyed the level of creatvity, imagination, dedication, and the team work. I enjoyed the rest of concerts in Aarhus Festuge with Efterklang.
Then in late August I made iphone improvisation solo performances with Anders Monrad's app " Virtuoso " in Copenhagen Art Festival, which I was somewhat anxious about, but in the end it succedded very much. There are certain music that one simply cannot prepare too much before- hands. The dancer side of me which has been sleeping for many years ( I was a very dedicated dancer as a child ), start to awake recently.
Then of course I am increasingly becoming more focused on what I can do musically for children. The experiences in these 14 LMS school concerts in the past 2 weeks were really important and dear to me. I saw the potential of my project " So New- So Old, So Far- So Near", and I saw how percussion speaks to children and how healthy it is for them to listen to good percussion music.
I always learn so much about myself while spending time with children.
That is a very short updates about what I have been doing. In December I will go to Korea again to perform and to develope ideas for the future projects.
