So tomorrow will be the glorious day. Besides the solos of Xenakis and Traditional Korean music which you should not miss, we 4 percussionists from 3 different genres will all do something we have never done in our life- Klaes and me( classical/contemporary) improvising in Korean Shaman music, Jaleh (rhythmic) playing strict Korean traditional beats by heart, and Sori( Korean Tradition) and the rest of us playing Per Nørgård for the first time. We have been rehearsing intensely for the past 2 weeks, and we hope to share the amazing evening with high quality of music with you. See you. Sori Choi and I made a masterclass/workshop, " How To Interpret Contemporary Music, Inspired By Korean Shaman Practice." I am glad it resonates with many people. Here are some photos:    |
