Sonic Architecture returns this year with 9 site-specific solo concerts across Denmark.
From the hand-dug chalk mines of Daugbjerg and the iconic Marble Church to Brønshøj Water Tower and a former underground drinking water reservoir beneath Aarhus—where the very first live concert will take place—each performance explores the relationship between sound, material, and space.

Inspired by how our ancestors tuned in to their surroundings and chose materials that resonated with each place, Sonic Architecture revives this ancient practice through new site-specific works created in dialogue with the unique acoustics and character of every location.

The 2026 edition  is generously supported by Augustinus Fonder, Statens Kunstofnd Aage og Johanne Louis-Hansens Fond, Hoffmann og Husmans Fond, and Koda Kultur.
